Dear Athletic Directors:

With the school year under way it is time to start planning for the 2016 Shamrock Tournament. This year’s tournament will take place February 19th , 20st, and 21st . For teams outside the Charlotte area games will not begin until Friday afternoon on the 19th.

As always, we are sure this season’s tournament will continue the tradition of past years. Remember the focus of the weekend is to come together for Basketball, Prayer and Friendship. We ask that you stress this to your coaches and fans.

The tournament format will be the same as year’s past. We will have one girls bracket and two boys’. All brackets will be single elimination; with each team guaranteed at least two games. To be eligible, the team must consist of the same players throughout the entire season and consist of 7/8th grade players (if 6th graders were on your team all year they may compete). Several other requirements are listed below:

There will be team trophies issue to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each division. Each coach will also receive two trophies at check in on Friday night that they will give to the team members of their choice.

The entry fee for the tournament is $175 per team entered. This fee and team roster must be received by January 30, 2016 in order to secure a spot in the tournament. This is very important since much planning is needed to ensure that
gyms and officials are available. Please make checks payable to: Holy Trinity Athletic Association and mail the fees and applications to:
